Prosperity has mostly been associated with monetary concerns; if you were prosperous you were financially wealthy. But these days it is important to look at prosperity in a variety of ways, if nothing more than to sooth the nerves of those who may be in financial dire straits.
So how are you prosperous? Many friends, excellent health, the love of friends and family, a good support system and the ability to learn and appreciate new things, are all signs of prosperity.
The one thing that keeps us from obtaining true prosperity is procrastination, putting off those things that may generate a degree of fruitfulness. Filling out applications and developing quality resumes for jobs, getting the necessary training for a new job or studying for a school exam, writing that book we know we have inside us, putting off the opportunity to volunteer or learning a new skill for your own personal growth are all ways where procrastination rears its ugly head. Sometimes prosperity alludes us because we get lazy, and laziness may be due the health issues of diet, exercise and sleep. It is important to take a look at our energy levels that keep us procrastinating and putting off our own prosperity.
Another type of prosperity that keeps many motivated and hopeful is spiritual prosperity. This is the knowledge that there is a greater power who is looking after us, while teaching us life lessons to make us better. In order to achieve spiritual prosperity one may have to become enlightened and develop a shift in their paradigm, as many believe we are here by happenstance with no rhyme or reason for it.
Spiritual prosperity does not prescribe to a particular religion, nor does if condemn the beliefs of others. It thrives in what's right and what is true. It is faith-based with an ingrained knowledge that whatever type of energy one puts out so shall they receive. Positive begets positive, while negative begets negative. Spirituality wants you to be prosperous, healthy, enlightened and loved. Spirituality wants you to be successful and happy. The question becomes, how badly do you want it for yourself?
